On January 23, 2010 the newly elected Executive Board of the NLPOA San Diego Metro Chapter met for their annual board workshop and first board meeting of the year. During the workshop the topic of the chapter’s fiscal year was brought up. Based on a recommendation from the chapter’s accountant, the following motion was presented.
Second Vice-President Robert Amador motioned that the Association amend the chapter’s By-law to change the Chapters financial fiscal year to begin January 1 and end December 31 for accounting purposes on the recommendation from the Chapter Accountant. Historian, Steven Zasueta seconded the motion. Discussion occurred.
The motion passed Unanimous 7-0
The following is a draft of the proposed Bylaw amendment for 30 day review by the membership in accordance with our by Bylaws.
Members with any questions reference the proposed Bylaw change should be directed to NLPOA President Jerry Hara.
Current Bylaw ARTICLE XV FISCAL YEAR Fiscal year of the Association:
The fiscal year of the Association/Corporation shall begin October 1st and end September 30th in each year.
Proposed Bylaw Change: ARTICLE XV FISCAL YEAR Fiscal year of the Association:
The fiscal year of the Association/Corporation shall begin January 1st and end December 31st in each year.
